Triangle, Square-Square-Square
This light sculpture reimagines the symbolic composition of the Irworobongdo alongside the structural poetry of traditional dancheong architecture.
The pillars, beams, and brackets that define dancheong are translated into contemporary tile modules, revealing the inherent spatial harmony of Korean architectural tradition through shifting chromatic fields and nuanced luminous variation. As color drifts and rhythm unfolds, tradition and modernity overlap, breathing together in a continuous visual dialogue. Guided by the movement of light, the viewer is led toward a renewed perception of Korean architectural aesthetics, one that exists simultaneously in memory, material, and illumination.
*All tiles used in this work are fully reusable, enabling the installation to be realized without material waste.

Blooming Promise
Triangle, Square-Square-Square
Expanding laser beams cast textured strata of light across the space, accompanied by an enveloping soundscape that fills the air.
Lines of illumination stretch outward in every direction, interlacing with spatial audio to form a resonant field of rhythm and atmosphere. As light and sound converge, the architecture itself seems to vibrate with energy. Within this convergence, the viewer enters a heightened sensory terrain, one in which vision and sound dissolve into a single, unified perception, and space is felt as both physical and orchestral.

aplan-company / a-lab
aplan-company is an integrated art production studio that conceives immersive media performances by transforming architectural space into a unified stage.
Through large-scale spatial storytelling, the studio expands the boundaries of perception, creating environments in which light, sound, and structure converge into singular experiential fields. Its affiliated research label, a-lab, operates as an experimental platform for sustained inquiry and artistic reflection. Through ongoing research, testing, and critical challenge, a-lab continually explores new modes of expression and emerging artistic possibilities at the intersection of art and technology.
